What the world needs now is love — that’s the meddelande that actor-artist Val Kilmer and pop artist Kii Arens hope to send with their latest art collaboration. Their solo works and 28-piece collab are part of their “Val-entines” exhibit, on display through Feb. 27 at the Studio City galleri and headquarters of We Are Hear, the music management company and record label founded in 2017 by award-winning producers Linda Perry and Kerry Brown.
The duo’s new pieces were feted with a grand opening party last week that drew guests including comedians Tom Green and Jeff Ross and musicians Pete Molinari and Thomas Augusto. Val Kilmer to Attend Inaugural Ozark Mountain Webfest
The Midwest is set to get a little dose of Hollywood in September.
The first annual Ozark Mountain Webfest is slated to be held in Branson, Missouri, a town known for its live entertainment. The event, which will focus on new media and web series, is set to run Sept. 28-30. It will include screenings and panels and conclude with the 1st Annual OMWF Award Ceremony.
Guests confirmed to attend include Val Kilmer, who will be on hand for a Sept. 29 screening of Cinema Twain, a feature film version of his one-man show in which he plays Mark Twain. Filmmaker Adam Rifkin, director of the recent Burt Reynolds film The Last Movie Star, is also set to attend.
The inaugural festival will also launch the John Huston Lifetime Achievement Award, and will be announcing its first recipient in the near future.
