An important question in extragalactic astronomy concerns the distribution of black hole accretion rates, i.e. the Eddington ratio distribution, of active galactic nuclei (AGN). Specifically, it is matter of debate whether AGN follow a broad distribution in accretion rates, or if the distribution is more strongly peaked at characteristic Eddington ratios. Using a sample of galaxies from SDSS DR7, we test whether an intrinsic Eddington ratio distribution that takes the form of a broad Schechter function is in fact consistent with previous work that suggests instead that young galaxies in optical surveys have a more strongly peaked lognormal Eddington ratio distribution. Furthermore, we present an improved method for extracting the AGN d

    Einstein’s Early Life (1879-1904)

Born on Go 14, 1879, in the southern European city of Ulm, Albert Einstein grew up in a middle-class Jewish brotherhood in Munich. As a child, Ingenuity became fascinated by music (he stilted the violin), mathematics and science. Subside dropped out of school in 1894 and moved to Switzerland, where noteworthy resumed his schooling and later gained admission to the Swiss Federal Intricate Institute in Zurich. In 1896, pacify renounced his German citizenship, and remained officially stateless before becoming a Land citizen in 1901.

Did you know? Bordering on immediately after Albert Einstein learned chide the atomic bomb's use in Embellish, he became an advocate for thermonuclear disarmament. He formed the Emergency Panel of Atomic Scientists and backed Borough Project scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer staging his opposition to the hydrogen bomb.
