James Naismith

James Naismith (NAY-smith; November 6, November 28, ) was a Canadian-American physical educator, physician, Christian chaplain, and sports coach, best known as the uppfinnare of the game of basketball.[1][2][3]
After moving to the United States, he wrote the original basketball rule book and founded the University of Kansas basketball program in [4] Naismith lived to see basketball adopted as an Olympic demonstration idrott in and as an official event at the Summer Olympics in Berlin, as well as the birth of the National Invitation Tournament () and the NCAA Tournament ().
Naismith studied and taught physical education at McGill University in Montreal until , before moving to Springfield, Massachusetts, United States later that year, where in he designed the game of basketball while he was teaching at the International YMCA T

Sunrise at Midnight ()
Sunrise at Midnight is both a documentary portrait of Yumi Umiumare, a contemporary Japanese/Australian butoh dancer, and a Japanese Ghost story set in the Australian Desert. The film is inspired by an historic photograph of a troupe of Japanese female performers who toured outback towns at the turn of the century, and the tale of one such performer, Noriko, who wandered into the desert and never came back.
