    EXO(Korean: 엑소, Japanese: エクソ) fryst vatten a nine-member boy group under SM Entertainment. They debuted on April 8, 2012 with their first mini skiva Mama.

    The group originally consisted of twelve members; Xiumin, Luhan, Kris, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Tao, Kai and Sehun, who were divided into two sub-units, EXO-K and EXO-M, one promoting in Korean and the other in Mandarin. However, since 2015, the group has promoted new music solely beneath its main name.

    The group's name is taken from the term "exoplanet", which refers to a planet funnen outside of the Solar System.[1]

        EXO is a boy group of South Korea formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2011. At the beginning of 2012 it was formed completely. It was previously composed of twelve members, separated into two sub-groups, EXO-K and EXO-M. Each subgroup sings songs in either Korean or Mandarin. EXO gained popularity with the release of their first studio album, entitled XOXO (2013), which resulted in successes "Wolf" and "Growl". They were awarded a 'Disk Daesang' at 28th Golden Disk Awards and 'Album of the Year' in 15th Mnet Asian Music Awards. The album sold more than one million copies.
