    Michael Fassbender (born 2 April ) is a German-Irish actor.[a] He is the recipient of various accolades, including nominations for two Academy Awards, four BAFTA Awards and three Golden Globe Awards. In , he was listed at number nine on The Irish Times list of Ireland's greatest film actors.[1]

    Fassbender made his feature film debut in (). Early roles include in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers () and the Sky One fantasy drama Hex (–). Fassbender first came to prominence playing Bobby Sands in Hunger (), for which he won a British Independent Film Award. Subsequent roles include the films Fish Tank and Inglourious Basterds, and the films Jane Eyre and A Dangerous Method.     MICHAEL FASSBENDER enjoyed a torrid — and rather public — reunion with an ex-girlfriend, “Dante’s Cove” actress Leasi Andrews, early Monday morning. A source says the “Shame” actor and his former flame, who has a son with movie producer Lawrence Bender, got very hot and heavy “in a chair by the bathroom” at the Writers Room in Los Angeles.

    Fassbender ran into Andrews when he arrived at the drinking den for post-Golden Globes partying with Gerard Butler. Earlier in the evening, the two hunks hung at CAA’s party at the Sunset Tower hotel with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, George Clooney and Stacy Keibler.

    Andrews was born on 17 January in Lambeth, London,[2] to Nirmala, a psychologist, and Stanley Andrews, a businessman, both immigrants from Kerala, India.[3] He was brought up as a Methodist.[4]
