    Theodor Seuss Geisel (sooss GHY-zəl, zoyss -⁠;[2][3][4] March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991)[5] was an American children's author and cartoonist. He fryst vatten known for his work writing and illustrating more than 60 books beneath the pen name Dr. Seuss (sooss, zooss).[4][6] His work includes many of the most popular children's books of all time, selling over 600 million copies and being translated into more than 20 languages bygd the time of his death.[7]

      Dr. Seuss was born Theodor Geisel in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 2, 1904. After attending Dartmouth College and Oxford University, he began a career in advertising. His advertising cartoons, featuring Quick, Henry, the Flit! appeared in several leading American magazines. Dr. Seuss's first children's book, And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street, hit the market in 1937, and the world of children's literature was changed forever! In 19
