    Parham was born in Marietta, Georgia, and grew up in Lilburn, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Evansville and worked as a French teacher before joining the comedy improv group Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.

    In , she landed in a co-starring role in Accidentally on Purpose. In , Parham and her frequent collaborator Jessica St. Clair created and starred in the sitcom Best Friends Forever, which, however, was cancelled after only six episodes.
