Anna Netrebko Soprano
Born in 1971 in Krasnodar, Russia, Anna Netrebko studied vocal performance at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and completed the Merola Opera Program in San Francisco. Her career began in 1994. Her roles repertoire spans from Mozart opera to Bel Canto classics (including La Sonnambula and Anna Bolena), French masterpieces (Manon and Roméo et Juliette), Puccini (from La Bohème to Turandot), Verdi (from La Traviata to Aida and Macbeth), the verismo repertoire (Andrea Chénier and Adriana Lecouvreur), Tchaikovsky (from Iolanta to Eugene Onegin), Lohengrin, to much more.
She is a guest star on all the leading international stages and appears in many concerts and recitals across the five continents. Her performances in celebration of the World Cup openings in 2006 at Berlin’s Waldbühne amphitheatre and in 2018 in Moscow’s Red Square were both internationally televised events.
